In 1953, with a view to establishing a new congregatoin in The Village, an independent municipality in the Oklahoma City area, a visitation program was conducted with the help of brethren from the 12th & Drexel and the Britton congregations to find Christians who lived in the area.

On July 23rd, twenty-six people met to discuss the formation of a congregation.
